Extra Curricular Activities
We run a wide range of extra-curricular activities at UJS. Clubs are run either by staff who have an expertise in the area or visiting professionals. All visiting professionals have a current DBS, qualifications (including first aid and child protection) and experience in their specialist area. Pricing for clubs vary; some are totally free, some have a minimal charge, some require equipment purchased (eg shinpads or music), and some are charged at cost. For the majority of clubs children are asked to commit to a term at a time with payment in advance.
Clubs usually fill quickly – we recommend that you follow the instructions on the booklet to confirm your child’s space when places are offered.
If financial concerns are a barrier to participation, families are invited to discuss the issue with the Business Manager or Clubs Co-ordinator in confidence. See also our charging policy. The offering varies each term.
Extra-Curricular Clubs booklet
The extra-curricular booklet is usually sent via Arbor to families at the end of each term and half term with the activities on offer after the break. We don't publish it here, otherwise information may be publicly available about what times older children may be leaving the site on their own etc. If you require another copy please ask the office.
